SASSA will be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to website access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
